This video shows how I grew hundreds of elderberry plants in 1x 1020 tray over the winter. They were grown from seeds & were in the fridge for 6 months! After stratification, I spread out the seeds onto a 1020 tray & then grew them under a Kingbo LED light for about a month. When they grew to about 1/2″ I was able to transfer them to new pots outside in the greenhouse. In all, Elderberry was pretty easy to grow, about 85%+ of the Elderberry seeds germinated even though the paper towel was all moldy. I’ve planned to make a hedge of Elderberry around the property & then utilize the stock to create softwood cuttings in my propagation bed.

You can purchase the same Elderberry seeds from Sheffields here: https://sheffields.com/seeds-for-sale/Sambucus/nigra///////1347/Common-Elder,-European-Elder,-Black-Elderberry/Common-Elder,-European-Elder,-Black-Elderberry
